PostHeaderIcon Running for the NSPCC

On September 20th I am running my very first 5k for the NSPCC in the Liverpool Corporate Cup. Please help my motivation and final time by donating to the NSPCC through this page. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank You

LizSara

At least I think it’s part 5…

The delightful Rebekah of Swinging from the Chandelier would like to know I started reading your blog after you began commenting on mine. How do you find new blogs to read?

Very good question. I started this whole blogging adventure by reading Jenn at Free and Flawed and i picked up a lot of my early reads from her blogroll. Because i’m not a member of 20SB (i’m too old) i joined 30SB and picked up a few more people from there and after that it was mainly from other peoples comments on their blogs or people’s comments on mine. Just recently i got rid of about 70 blogs that i was skipping through every day so my reading list is a lot more manageable now and i (hopefully) have more time to make more and better comments.

I have about 50 subscribers to this here blog, so if i could throw this back at you all for a minute…you lovely people there…how did you find me?

Don’t forget you can always ask me another question or a first question or any question really

Tips and recipes to reduce food waste - Love Food Hate Waste

Every year in the UK we throw away £10 billion worth of food which could have been eaten. Love Food Hate Waste is a campaign from WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) which shows that by doing easy practical everyday things in the home we can all waste less food, which ultimately benefits our purses and the environment too. If we all stopped wasting food that could have been eaten, it would have the same environmental impact as taking 1 in 5 cars off UK roads. lovefoodhatewaste.com has lots of delicious recipes to use up leftovers, handy hints and tips for storing food to make it last longer, a portion calculator to help you cook the right amount, and information on what food date labels mean. There is something for everyone, whether you are a keen cook, or simply want to reduce the amount of food which you throw away.

PostHeaderIcon De-Lurk answers part 4

Ok you know the drill by now. i asked you to ask me anything…and you did. So now i’m answering you, one person at a time.

Today it’s the turn of philisophical questions and answers i think.

The first is from Pink Jelly Baby and she wants to know If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be?

Just for a day, wow that’s hard. I’ve never been one to want to be someone else, i spend so much time working on making myself who i want to be i don’t have time for those kind of wishes. However, i think i would like ot be Ed Balls for the day (he’s our Education Minister in Government for those unfamiliar) and i’d actually try and do what needs doing to get the state of education in England up to a better level.

Next question comes from Dayna from Songs in Blue and she asks What country would you love to visit and why?

This is an easy one, i have a my big list of vacation locations up on a page at the top there and i want to see all of them. As far as a whole country goes i would love to visit China one day.

Finally for today we have a question from the delightful Brennig and he says You are the supreme ruler of planet Earth…and your first five commandments are?

Yeah, nothing like hitting me with a hard one there mate!

Ok here goes.

Commandment 1: Mandated 20% of all wages over £100k pa to be given to a charity of the employees choice
Commandment 2: Anyone who can prove they are ecologically conscious gets 2 extra holiday days per year
Commandment 3: All people should have a basic expectation of a properly built home with amenities
Commandment 4: Everyone aged 16-21 must continue in Education or training
Commandment 5: Tax on petrol will be brought into line between all nations
